OUR TEAM

Eric Schaefer -- eric@advanceco.net, President of Advance Property Management, has participated at the highest levels of the real estate and construction industries over the past 30 years. He has managed properties throughout CT, designed and implemented financial information systems, developed more than 2,000 condominium units, and worked with private and public lenders to identify capital improvement and reserve funding for communities. Eric has a BS in Accounting and has supplemented this with graduate-level studies in Information Technology. Eric has served as a Board member on the Community Association Institute (CAI) of Connecticut for which he received the Volunteer of the Year Award, and is currently a member of the Glastonbury Town Planning & Zoning Commission.

Michael Pierson -- michael@advanceco.net,  Property Manager, brings more than 27 years experience in facility management to APM.  He has extensive experience in maintenance, particularly securing bids and managing projects.  In former positions, Michael oversaw the management of large commercial buildings with more than 500 employees, including coordinating cross-US facility moves.  Michael offers outstanding communication skills to the day to day operations in the field and the office.  In addition, Michael has served as president of a 108-unit condominium community.  During his tenure, he oversaw large capital projects including reconstruction of the outdoor pool area, interior renovations and reconstruction and paving projects.

Joe Timbro -- joe@advanceco.net,  Property Manager, recently came to Advance Property Management with over 33 years of experience working with condominiums, apartments, industrial and commercial management and maintenance control. Joe is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University. In 2000, he was named Business Person of the Year for Catholic Charities working in their refugee placement program and in 2002 he was named Merchant of the Year for the Franklin Avenue Mercants Association. He has also served on a condominium board and is an investor owner.

Administrative Staff

In addition to maintenance crew leaders, each property manager is assisted by an experienced and dedicated administrative support professional. Our support staff has more than 20 years experience in the property management industry. With a focus on customer service and organizational skills, some of our support staff participate on their own condominium association boards.

Our customer service and front desk support staff offer a friendly, human voice to each customer who calls, and will direct your concern to the right member of your team. 

Our bookkeeping/accounting staff has worked with community associations for more than 20 years. Working with your property manager, this staff provides accurate and timely reports and other assistance to our clients.
